Toray (Tokyo, Japan), founded in 1926, supplies composite materials to the aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial and consumer markets, with operations across 29 countries and regions. At CAMX 2026, the company is represented by three of its U.S. composite material divisions: Toray Composite Materials America (Tacoma, Wash., U.S.), Toray Advanced Composites (Morgan Hill, Calif., U.S.) and Toray Performance Materials Corp. (Camarillo, Calif., U.S.).
The divisions’ combined product portfolio includes carbon fiber composite materials used across commercial aircraft, defense systems, advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft, satellites and sporting goods. Material highlights at the show include Torayca carbon fiber, thermoset prepregs and Cetex and CFRT thermoplastic prepregs, along with high-temperature preceramics, cyanates, bismaleimides (BMIs), polyimides and epoxies intended for use in extreme-temperature environments ranging from aerospace to industrial applications.
Recent additions to the portfolio include TC1810, a high-temperature preceramic system for aerospace and launch vehicle applications, and 3960-FC, a fast-cure variant of its toughened 3960 prepreg system. The company has also introduced Toray Cetex TC1005, a polyetherimide (PEI) unidirectional tape for aircraft interior applications, and EcoTerra, a woven flax fabric combined with a bio-based thermoplastic resin formulation for automotive, consumer and recreational applications.
Toray supports every stage of production, from prototyping to high-volume manufacturing through the combination of a fully integrated global supply chain, a diverse portfolio and a technical support network. Toray’s manufacturing facilities include carbon-free zones intended for sensitive aerospace applications, operating under ISO 14001:2015, AS9100 and Nadcap certifications.
